Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Your  Horoscope

Your career will start to show vibrancy and progress, for Mars, your ruler, will enter your tenth house of fame and achievement on December 7 and remain there until January 15. This is great news, for you have not seen your guardian planet, Mars, in this house in two years. Mars will fill you with energy and drive, and bring you career opportunities, too, so this is truly a critical time for you to leap ahead. It's the right time to gain a promotion or to start interviewing for a new position of responsibility and power. Your chart shows a step up, not a lateral move to the same old thing you did before, so don't settle for anything less, dear Aries!

Aries Horoscope for  2011

You have a major eclipse coming in your professional sector on January 4 in Capricorn and lighting the most prestigious career part of your chart, so it will be vital that you be able to move quickly and not drop the ball. In a way, Mars' entry into this same area from December 7 onward will act as a front man to that eclipse, clearing the way to a better job for you. He will also get you excited about looking for a job, which is half the battle! (Looking for a new position is a little like looking for a new place to live - a bit exhausting and overwhelming - but when you see how good things are about to become for you, you will be very motivated!)

If you are interested in visiting college campuses to stage interviews for admission, I would suggest you get the brochures and investigate various colleges now, but not make appointments for interviews until January. If you visited a campus previously, you can go back and see the college again, however, and Mercury retrograde would not harm your chances of being admitted. (It's only NEW interviews that are not favored. Second and third interviews would not be adversely affected.)

Now it's time for me to drop the other shoe.

On December 21 we have a difficult total eclipse of the moon coming at 29 degrees Gemini that will cause problems for many people. All lunar eclipses are ultra powerful full moons. At this time, you will see a chapter suddenly end in a way you are not expecting.

You may also suddenly take a trip you had not anticipated, as Gemini rules travel, or it may be that you simply receive news that you never expected. Gemini is ruled by Mercury, and with Mercury in debilitated condition, this adds to the problems involving travel, as we get closer to the year-end holidays.

You are fortunate in that you tend to do well with Gemini, and because it falls at 29 degrees, if you are an Aries born on or very close to April 19, you actually will benefit from this eclipse. In your case, it seems that people around you will be under stress, so you will need to help them. Family members are surfacing strongly, especially siblings and cousins.

Aries born at the very start of their sign, say, within days of March 20-21, will not benefit, as this eclipse is within a half degree of zero degrees of Cancer, in an out-of-sign challenge to your Sun. Early-born Aries will have a harder time with this eclipse. I am sorry to have to report this, and I even considered not telling you, for I always want holiday time to be joyous fun. Still, if I didn't tell you, I wouldn't be your friend, as you could feel completely broadsided by events. You need to keep your schedule elastic enough to roll in any direction should the need arise. For early-born Aries, family could be a focus in one way or another, either parents, an aunt or uncle, sister or brother, or cousin.

Uranus, the planet of unexpected events, will be at very hard angle to that eclipse of December 21, making it a jarring, even a shocking time. If you are traveling by car, you should have the right maintenance done to help you drive through all sorts of weather conditions. If you are traveling by air, be happy the authorities are making such a big deal about security.

I would prefer that you settle down and not do too much around this eclipse of December 21. It would be best simply to take life as usual. As I always say around eclipses, open the window and let whatever wants to fly in, fly in. Observe, but do not initiate. Your agenda and your priorities will change, and you need to have a fairly open schedule near December 21, which is, of course, very difficult, as everyone has too much to do at holiday time. Some eclipses do not deliver their news on time. You may have heard something one month earlier, near November 15-26, or will at the end of January, one month to the day later, plus or minus five days.

If you leave holiday shopping for the last minute this year, you will run out of time, and stores will run out of stock. Do not buy electronics this month such as a computer or flat screen TV. With Mercury - a planet that rules moving parts - retrograde until December 30, acquiring new electronics is a no-no (follow this advice whenever Mercury is retrograde). Instead, give cash or a gift certificate for a store in which you know your recipient would love to shop. In January, it would be fun to go shopping together for the item you had in mind for this person, and make a festive day of it, complete with lunch out together.

In love, if you are married or in an established relationship, you are getting used to Saturn in your seventh house of marriage, although you may feel a little constrained by your partner. Your partner may be going through a rough patch and need your help. If you love each other, you will do so willingly. Your partner may be very cautious these days, and you could feel that you continually have to prod your partner to be a little more adventurous.

If you are single and have been dating a long time, you may be ready to commit your love now, as Saturn is making you feel a need to build a foundation to your life through relationships. Occasionally, however, Saturn gives us reasons to go slowly and temporarily delay plans to wed. See how this works for you.

Whether you are single and looking or happily attached, while this is not a huge month for love, it will have some happy moments. New Year's Eve will bring the moon to fellow fire sign Sagittarius, so you may decide to celebrate with friends. Now that Uranus is moving full speed ahead, as said earlier, you can expect more time and interest from friends than you've seen since July on just about any front! Thank goodness for that.

Once Jupiter moves into Aries next month, you will have your best chance ever to meet your one true love. Your luck will last through May - you have so much to look forward to, dear Aries!

Best romantic moments in December include: December 4, 5, 9, 23, 24, and 31.

Summary

December is always a bit more stressful than other months because the holidays lengthen your to-do list, but this December may become busier and more tense than normal. Mercury will be retrograde almost all month and on top of this, a difficult eclipse is due December 21. The ramifications are clear: You'll need to be very organized but also flexible when your priorities change at the last minute. You may run out of time as you get closer to month's end, so don't put off holiday preparations until the last minute. This month, the early bird stays cool and calm - and ahead of the pack.

The new moon December 5 will be quite positive, however, and any action you choose closely after that date should work out well. You will have to act fast, however, for with Mercury about to retrograde, chances are you will wisely choose to delay making firm plans for January. The time of the new moon may bring a long trip, but as you get closer to December 21 and the days that closely follow, you may choose to travel to a location closer to home.

Your ninth house, where the new moon will appear, also covers issues abroad, the justice system, and the media. One or more of these areas may bring good news. Mars, your ruler, will also light these matters until December 5, indicating your ego will be strongly tied to these matters. When you see an opening for a breakthrough, it will be important for you to follow up quickly to show interest. Remember, you don't have to finish negotiations - that will take time and this is not the month for that - but you do have to investigate what's on tap.

Just before you reach the new moon on December 5, you may experience a difficult day when unpredictable Uranus and your ruler, Mars, square off on December 3. It looks like some sort of news that someone close has tried to keep hidden from you will come out and make you upset. I am sorry to report this - I hope this won't apply to you. Mars will be on a mission to bring things out in the open, but if no one has hidden anything from you, you won't feel this. You may be a little prone to foot problems, so if you are a woman, don't wear crazy high heels on cobblestones near December 3 because you could turn your foot and experience pain. You get the idea.

It appears you will be asked to sign papers this month, but to do so now would not be wise, so bide your time until January.

Your career will start to take your full attention from December 5 to January 15 and may bring the right offer for a new position or a promotion in the New Year. Take offers seriously. If the offer emanates this month from an old friend or a former colleague or boss, you can proceed with confidence, for it was brought to you by Mercury, now retrograding in your house of fame and honors. While the rule is "never take a job when Mercury is retrograde," there is one exception. If the offer emanates from someone from your past, you can snatch it up. If the offer comes from someone new, be skeptical - the deal won't work out as you assume, for conditions are rapidly shifting.

The centerpiece of the month - potentially troubling - will be the full moon lunar eclipse in Gemini, on the solstice, December 21. An immediate family member (parent, sibling), friend, or someone with whom you're romantically involved may be under stress and require your help. You may need to travel unexpectedly to handle what comes up. This will be a tough eclipse because both the Sun and new moon will be in hard angle to unpredictable Uranus. Alternatively, your residence or one family member may be the subject of urgent news. You may learn, for example, that you'll have to move or make a major repair. Do not sign any contracts, leases, or other important documents in
